The Graubünden Cantonal Bank (GCB) and its subsidiary BZ Bank are facing a lawsuit demanding compensation in the mid three-digit million range for alleged breaches of duty related to an investment product. The plaintiff, an unnamed individual, accuses the financial institutions of failing in their duties. Both banks have denied the allegations and stated they will defend themselves. The claim was submitted to the Höfe mediation office for arbitration. GCB acquired a majority stake in BZ Bank from Swiss investor Martin Ebner in 2022 and became the sole owner at the beginning of 2025.
