Potts Law Firm files fourth lawsuit against xAI over AI-generated child sexual abuse material

Potts Law Firm has filed its fourth civil lawsuit against xAI, the developer of Grok AI, on behalf of a 16-year-old boy. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas, alleges that the company's technology was used to create sexually explicit material depicting the minor. The legal action seeks damages for the harm caused to the child and his family.

This new case follows three previous lawsuits filed by the firm in 2025. The core allegation across these actions is that xAI, x.AI Corp., x.AI, LLC, and X Corp. failed to implement sufficient safeguards to prevent their technology from being used to generate child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Derek Potts, National Managing Partner of Potts Law Firm, stated that the firm is seeing an increasing number of families coming forward with similar experiences.

This series of litigations highlights a growing legal trend of holding AI developers accountable for the misuse of their tools.
