Verizon Class Action Lawsuit Settlement 2025: Check Amount, Eligibility & Payout Date

In 2025, Verizon reached a $100 million class-action settlement with customers who were charged hidden administrative and billing fees on their postpaid wireless accounts between January 2016 and November 2023. The lawsuit alleged that these fees, ranging from $1 to $3.30 monthly, were not properly disclosed, leading to cumulative overcharges. While Verizon denied wrongdoing, they opted to settle to avoid a lengthy legal battle.

Eligible claimants – those with a postpaid plan during the class period who were charged such fees – can receive a base payment of $15 plus $1 for each month a fee was charged, up to a maximum of $100. Payments will be distributed via direct deposit, electronic transfer (Zelle, PayPal, Venmo), or physical check, with electronic payments beginning in early 2025 and checks following later in the year.
